Mt. Rose Hike
We took a hike up to the top of Mt. Rose (10,776 ft.) which is a mountain in the Tahoe Rim of the Sierra just east of Reno. The total mileage for the hike was 9.8 miles with roughly 2500 ft. of elevation gain, and took us about four and a half hours. The trail winds through mountain meadows, wildflowers, alpine forests, and finally bare rock up at the top.
